Hey, I am Dhruv, an architectural photographer based in New Delhi
Back in the early 2000s, the ability to capture photographs was a newly introduced feature in mobile phones, that’s when I first came across photography through my dad’s Nokia handset. 10 years later, the 18-year-old me decided to pursue software engineering only to realize my interest and potential in Photography which led to a switch in career.
So, during the third year of engineering, I completed a 6 month part-time course from 'Institute of Photography' in New Delhi.
After managing my family business with freelance photography for a while, I felt like making a transition with a major focus on photography. The search for professional photography programs in Canada & UK led to my enrollment in Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, with a core focus on Architectural, Fashion and Product Photography.
Years after successfully completing the professional diploma course in Vancouver and graduating with honours, I am working in New Delhi with Interior Designers, Architects and Businesses, capturing their stunning structures and creations.
As an architectural photographer, my job is to capture the essence and beauty of buildings and structures through the lens of my camera. I carefully study the unique features of each building, including its design, materials, and purpose, and then use my technical skills to create visually stunning photographs that showcase these elements.
